  • Terroux Peace Garden and event venue – in the main house
  • 88 Rochford Road, Hall (off Wallaroo Road)

Events are back at Terroux

Barbara Baikie and Peter Fletcher welcome you back to Terroux for this first ‘post-COVID’ author event:

Nigel Featherstone – My Heart is a Little Wild Thing (Ultimo Press) and Harry Saddler – Questions raised by Quolls (Affirm Press).

Two wildly different books, but with a quoll connection.

Belinda Wilson specialises in threatened species conservation and reintroduction biology. She is finalising her PhD where she explored trials, tactics, behaviour, movement, and recovery in reintroduced eastern quolls (murunguny in the Indigenous Ngunnawal language) as part of the Mulligans Flat-Goorooyarroo Woodland Experiment.

Facilitated by Barbie Robinson, Living Arts Canberra

Enjoy the late Spring gardens at Terroux and join us for a stimulating but relaxed book discussion. A generous home-made country style afternoon tea is included in your ticket.

Book Sales and Signings

Book sales on site at the event will be managed by Yass Book Store. Please support your independent bookstores and Australian writers by purchasing books on the day.

Please note that we pay our authors their requested fee. The Terroux team are voluntary workers at these events.

A donation from the takings will be made to Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary to support their conservation work.

Tickets $25 full, $15 concession

Directions to Terroux

Following a GPS will take you way off course. Here are the directions we advise following:

  • Coming from Canberra on the Barton Highway, turn left into Wallaroo Road.
  • After 7.5 km turn right into Oakey Creek Road.
  • After  1.5kms  turn right into Rochford Road (dirt road).
  • After 0.88 km ( after going down through a small gully) turn right through an open gateway (nos 88 and 90 on corner gatepost), come over two cattle grids), turn left though a brick entrance at number 88 and Terroux is on the top of the hill.
  • Allow about 15 minutes from when you turn into Wallaroo Road.
  • Drive slowly up the last part of the journey as the road is rough dirt. It looks like a dirt road but is actually the shared drive for the properties along the way after you turn into the gate.

Wallaroo Road is about 15 minutes from Civic. Terroux is about 30 minutes’ drive from Civic.
